This is to inform all level 100 students that the payments for university accommodation (hostels) is compulsory. The Rules and Regulations of the University stipulates that all 100 level students must make payment and stay in the hostel.
Therefore, any student having genuine reason to stay elsewhere should come forward to the students affairs division for proper documentation as exemption form will be provided for completion where necessary.
How To Fill The Hostel Accommodation Exemption Form.
1. Payment of two thousand Naira (2,000) at Starbucks IBTC bank branch for the hostel exemption form
2. The Cash deposit receipt (transaction receipt) collected from the bank should be submitted to the office of the Dean Student Affairs Al Qalam University.
3. The form will be issued by the division (exemption form) and it consist of three parts:
PART A NOTES: This will be filled by the parent/Gurdian or next of kin of the student (Male/Female) who undertakes to provide alternative accommodation acceptable to the University and at the same time ready to bear all responsibility of the student's well being, security as well as matsala behavior the breach of which would compel the University to apply it's full law governing students conducts in and outside the University on the student.
PART B: Guardian personal data
PART C: Student's personal data
PART D: Student Accommodation details
PART E: For Official Use
4. Guarantors must come forward and submit the form to the division after filling for personal interview with the Dean
5. Only genuine and satisfied reason will make the form acceptable and valid to the students affairs division
