Al-Qalam University Katsina has obtained approval of the National Universities Commission ( NUC), to start running eight new programmes comprising four undergraduate and four postgraduate programmes from 2021/2022 academic session.
NUC's approval was based on the resource verification visit carried out by different panels of experts sent to the University in August, 2021.
A letter, conveying the approval of the NUC Executive Secretary, Prof. Abubakar Rasheed was received on 25th November, 2021, signed on his behalf by the Director, Academic Planning, Dr. N. B. Saliu.
The programmes are; BSc. (Ed) Accounting, BSc. (Ed) Computer Science , BSc. (Ed) Economics, BSc. (Ed) Home Economics, MA (Ed/PhD.) Arabic Education, MA (Ed/PhD.) English Education, MA (Ed/PhD.) Hausa and MA (Ed/PhD.) Islamic Studies Education.
All the eight programmes are full-time and would be run in the main campus of the University.
