The Emir of Kano, Alhaji Aminu Ado Bayero has said that he would soon find time to visit Al-Qalam University to see the progress recorded over the years.
The Emir stated this while receiving Management of Al-Qalam University in his Palace on Thursday, 25th _Rabiul_ - _Awwal_ , _1442_ _AH_ (12th November, 2020).
He recalled that owing to the desire for establishment of Islamic University in northern Nigeria, the late Emir of Kano, Alhaji Ado Bayero had fully supported Al-Qalam University since inception.
The Emir said. “We thank Allah for making it possible for us to have Al-Qalam University which has met the aspiration of our forefathers and we thank Katsina State Government, the traditional institutions in the state and the entire people of Katsina for providing the enabling environment for the university to operate.''
Alhaji Aminu Ado Bayero urged the university Management to be steadfast in discharging the responsibilities shouldered on it to justify the confidence of Nigerian Muslims.
Earlier while introducing the university, the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Shehu Garki Ado mentioned the contributions of Kano Emirate and those of the university Chancellor, Malam Aminu Alhassan Dantata towards the development of the university.
