 *Reactivating Of Academic Activities*

Sequel to the resolution of the Management at its 280th meeting held on Tuesday, June 9, 2020 on the closure of the University due to Covid-19 pandemic which approved suspension of academic activities, the University Management had for now after necessary consultations approved commencement of online lectures to the students to enable them makeup part of the missed academic activities. You are therefore being informed to prepare to continue with the routine lectures via the following applications to the students.

1. Loom application for lecture recordings which would be posted in the students relevant groups.

2. Zoom/Jitsi meet for virtual meeting with the students for interactions.

To achieve this, the University ICT will organize three (3) days training between June 17-19, 2020 by 10:00am to 1:00pm each day for the staff who are not conversant with the use of the applications. The online lectures would hopefully commence on Monday, June 22, 2020 and the University considering its currently financial position will pay half allowance to the visiting and part-time staff to be engaged in this arrangement. The visiting and part-time staff are requested to notify their Heads of Department if they agree with the proposal of half payment to do the job as appropriate.
