 *Al-Qalam University Begins Online Lectures*

As students remain at home due to the Coronavirus pandemic, Al-Qalam University, Katsina has launched an online lecture platform.

The Director, ICT, *Dr. Abdulnasir Isah* disclosed that three multimedia applications have been chosen to enable lecturers  deliver quality lectures to students.

He explained that the _Zoom_ application has empowered  lecturers of the university to  make audio recording of lectures and attach relevant materials before sending to their students to download from the comfort of their homes.

*Dr. Abdulnasir* assured the lecturers that the ICT is ready to follow up and  render assistance through the take off stage of the e-learning process.

Commenting on the development, the Vice-Chancellor, *Prof. Shehu Garki Ado* expressed happiness that despite the Coronavirus restrictions,  students of the university will continue with their studies from home by downloading lecture notes, videos and in some cases direct interactive sessions with their lecturers via _Zoom_ 

The Vice-Chancellor described the Coronavirus pandemic as a challenge which the education sector must rise above to cover lost time and move on to prepare for the future.
