*Nwala community of Katsina State receives cash donation from Al-Qalam University Management*
In line with its social responsibility policy, Al-Qalam University, Katsina has donated N150,000 to the people of Nwala community to help them secure plots of land to expand their graveyard.
The cash was handed over to the two Ward Heads, *Mallam Mannir Sani* and *Mallam Abdu Zayyana* as well as the Chief Imam of the community, *Mallam Kabir Lawal* at a brief ceremony which took place at the centre of the community on Wednesday June 26th, 2019.
The Vice-Chancellor, *Prof. Shehu Garki Ado* represented by Chief Executive Officer Account, Alhaji lawal Ibrahim reiterated the commitment of the University to assist in enhancing the wellbeing of neighbouring communities.
In their separate remarks, the three community leaders thanked the University for the kind gesture pointing out that the University is always showing care and the willingness to support the development of Nwala community.
The Chief Imam, *Liman Kabir Lawal* described the donation as a great leap towards actualising their dream to acquire plots of land to expand the burial ground which according to him is almost filled up as the remaining portion of the grave could hardly accommodate about fifteen to twenty more corpses.
The Nwala community also appealed to other donors to contribute towards the project noting that *ALLAH(S.W.T)* has promised big rewards for those who partake in such noble acts.
