*PARENTS FORUM DONATES AUDITORIUM TO THE VARSITY*
The Management of Al-Qalam University has received donation of a storey building from the parents and Stakeholders Forum of the University.
The storey building named after the immediate past Chairman of the University's Board of Trustees, late Muhammadu Lawal Kaita has 450 capacity lecture hall on the ground floor and on the upper floor, 14 offices and two lecture halls with 175 seats each.
Chairman of the Parents Forum, Hon. Lawal Balarabe handed over the complex to the University on Sunday, April 28th 2019.
In his speech, the Vice-Chancellor Al-Qalam University, Prof. Shehu G. Ado expressed happiness with the development describing it as first of its kind in the history of the University.
Represented by the University Librarian, Sule Wada Rafindadi, the Vice-Chancellor commended the leadership of the Parents Forum for joining hands with Management to address the problem of acute shortage of lecture halls and staff offices in the University.
After the handing over formalities, the Vice-Chancellor was invited to the second site which the Management approved for the Parents Forum to construct 250 capacity lecture hall where he laid the foundation block to signal the take off for construction work.
The proposed 250 capacity lecture hall is expected to be completed by the end of July, 2019.
