*LIVE COVERAGE OF THE MSSN ORIENTATION OF NEW STUDENTS ORGANIZED BY MSSN NEW EXCOS*
The Muslim Student Society of Nigeria (MSSN) under the leadership of Ameer Usman Sa'id had today organized an orientation for fresh students. The event started late due to low turnout of students but was later filled with students and staffs of the varsity.
The event started with a welcoming address for
New and returning students as they were welcomed to the event and given the confidence to feel the Muslimhood of Alqalam as the first Islamic university in Nigeria.
The first agenda of the event was a lecture by Dr sa'id Ahmad Khalid.
The Topic of discussion was: how to set goals and achieve them.
Points of discussion were how
1- to be well organized in selecting determination.
2- you must have a zeal to make yourself important.
3- to read your community as well as your surrounding.
4- choose a career
-Be patient
7- Actualization
The second agenda was a lecture by Mallam
Imam Sulaiman Abdullahi Yusuf.
The topic of discussion was: Islam as my permanent identity.
Points of discussion were
1- iman
2- Appearance
3- appreciation
4- distance from cheat
5- obedience and truthfulness
The third agenda was a lecture by
Dr. Muslim Muhammad Ibrahim (Dean students affairs)
Topic of discussion: Who is a friend and who is a foe.
Were he said "A good friend is like a perfume seller, you smell good whenever you're with him while a bad friend is like a welder you either get burnt or leave with an odour.
The fourth agenda was a lecture by
Mal. Nasir Abdurrahman represented by
Malam Abdurraheem sabi'u Rafindadi
Topic of discussion was: strengthening hard-working,focus and steadfastness.
Advice on knowing your worth and what brought you to school and this duniya.
Lastly the event ended with a closing remark.
