On 3th march 2021, Biossanties decided and new minds were voted into various offices of the Biological Science Students Association Of Nigeria. The election saw Yusuf Abubakar Gatari emerge the president of Biological Science Department. As part of our commitment as campus news outlet to bring you latest information especially as regards students in Al Qalam University. We scheduled an interview with him and here is the transcript.

Press Official🎤: Please Can you introduce yourself to us?
Biossan President✍🏻: I am Comrade Yusuf Abubakar Maigatari bay name. The new BIOSSAN President.
Before my election as the new BIOSSAN president.
1-I was the former Ass. Financial secretary NAJISS AUK chapter
2-I was the former Ass. Sec. gen NAJISS AUK chapter
3-I am the new Secretary General NAJISS AUK chapter .
4-Also I am the current class rep Level 400 Bsc. Biology.
Press Official🎤: What made you go into school politics?
Biossan President✍🏻: What made me go into school politics are is to contribute toward the development of my state and departmental associations with the little leadership experience I have since from secondary school.
Press Official🎤: What are the challenges you faced during campaign and what motivated the biossan family to vote for you?
Biossan President✍🏻: Alhamdulillah, One of the major challenge I faced was the clashing of lectures with my political campaign,which I tried and overcome.
The reason why BIOSSAN family vote for me was not anything than how they see I am running the class activities as a speaker effectively without any kind of cheating to anybody, we took everybody along. So this gave them confidence in us.
Press Official🎤: Biossan being the 2nd largest association on campus. what are your goals and objectives to improve and bring about growth and development to the association?
Ahh we have so many plans to make BIOSSAN great which are as follows.
1. ORIENTATION
If I am elected, as the president of biossan I and my excos will organize orientation for newly Admitted students of biological sciences in first month of first semester of the session so as to able students to know the rules and regulations of the University and that of the department and also reminds them of their primary assignment at the University lastly to be good Ambassador of the University.
2. OPERATION NO CARRY OVER
I will join hand and idea with my Executive to set up a strong committee for Tutorial classes on all the courses so to as carry along dose that are been left behind at lecture hall, these committee shall .also provide student with pass question for easy guidelines.
3. SOURCE OF REVENUE
myself and my executive will grab the opportunity of the fish pond made by the previous Executives to start training fishe for sale which will insha Allah brings reasonable resources to pilot the affairs of the association without waiting for the departmental dues which came lately.
4. MORAL ENTERTAINMENT
I will join hands and ideas with my executive to organize a conference, debate, and interactive section within the state and outside the state, an award of honor and category of such will be given to the deserved students.
Press Official🎤: As a president how do you think Auk press has contributed to the growth and development of campus news?
Biossan President✍🏻: As a president all I have to say is that AUK press has contributed 100% to the campus news as being the must reliable news outlet in the university.
And I will like to appreciate the effort of the AUK press management toward the development of both academic and social activities in the university.
Press Official🎤: What are your plans to work with press in order to bring it closer to the biossan family?
Biossan President✍🏻: Inshaa Allah we will work hand in hand with AUK press in passing all the relevant information to our fellow BIOSSAN family. And also we will seek for for the advices of AUK press management when the need arises.
Press Official🎤: All presidents before being elected make campaign promises and hardly fulfill them which is one of the reasons students believe less in politics. How do you intend to tackle this believe and reinstate the trust the students once had in politics.?
Biossan President✍🏻: Inshaa Allah we are going to tackle this problem by trying our possible best to see that we have fulfill the promises we made during our campaign. I believe with this we can reinstate the trust our fellow students had in politics.
Press Official🎤: What are the advice you will give to the students of the biossan family?
Biossan President✍🏻: My advice to the Biossan family is that they should try and abide by the rules and regulations of the university,they should Shaun the act of exam malpractice,the should be dedicated to their studies and try to be good ambassadors of the university and their Families.
Press Official🎤: lastly what are the comments you will make on the outgoing administration of the biossan association have they achieved the mark they set for the association.
Biossan President✍🏻: Honestly I don’t have much to say than to congratulate the administration under the leadership of Comrade Abdullahi Musa Hussain for their excellent achievement.. they have achieved more than what is expected from them. Indeed they have take BIOSSAN to higher level.
