Management Condoles With Varsity Librarian Over Killing Of District Head

Al-Qalam University delegation led by the registrar, Sani Abashe Adamu has extended the condolence of the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Shehu G. Ado and the University Community to the Varsity Librarian, Assoc. Prof. Abashe Atiku over the killing of his elder brother, the District Head of Yantumaki.

Armed gunmen shot and killed the District Head, Alh. Abubakar Atiku Maidabino at his residence on Sunday mid night, 31st May, 2020. He was buried on Monday, 1st June, 2020 according to Islamic rites.

Consoling the family, the registrar, prayed for Allah to forgive the deceased and for his family to have the courage to bear the irreparable loss.

Receiving the condolence, the Librarian, Assoc. Prof. Abashe appreciated the concern shown by management and the university community praying for Allah to reward them abundantly.

Aged 67, the late District Head is survived by 3 wives and 19 children. He was appointed District Head of Yantumaki in 2008.

The management delegation was also at Ruwan Godiya to condole with Dr. Bashir Ruwangodiya, the Special Adviser, Higher Education to Governor, Aminu Bello Masari who lost his father on Monday, 1st June, 2020.
