Maryam Muhammad Isah was laid in have grave early on in the evening.
The deceased student Maryam who died in the early hours of today at the Federal Medical Centre Katsina was from Jigawa State which was wrongly reported earlier that she was from Jos Plateau. AUK Press found out that it was her father who is from Kano State while her mother from Jos Plateau State. The deceased was taken to Kano State and was buried around 5pm according to Islamic rites and the Sunnah of the Prophet Muhammad (S.A.W). Maryam died after a short illness and her corpse was escorted by two matrons, security personnel and the president of political science department Liman Sa'ad together with some other excos.
In an interview made by the president of political science Liman Sa'ad with Auk Press official, he described the deceased as a well-respected and God-fearing lady which is so much dedicated, intelligent and hardworking. He quoted "I've known Maryam for a short period of time, when i was campaigning and making a structure for my political activities, she showed interest in taking part of the struggle so as to bring positive development/achievements to the department of political science", he added; "She always have a good and positive thinking, it's indeed a great loss for the entire Muslim Ummah not even the university alone or the department of political science."
AUK Press Governing Council wants to once again sends their condolences to the family, friends and relatives of the deceased and prayed for God Almighty to have mercy on her and make her be among the forgiven ones and Aljannatul Firdaus be her final abode. Amin
