*NUC Panel Assesses Students Support Services at Al-Qalam Varsity*
A four member Panel from National Universities Commmission {NUC} has arrived Al-Qalam University to assess available facilities for the welfare and comfort of students of the University.
The Panel led by *Prof. Boniface David Kashina* was received by the Vice-Chancellor, Al-Qalam University Katsina, *Prof. Shehu Garki Ado* on Monday, 8th July, 2019.
Prof. Kashina explained that members of the Panel would assess and determine whether facilities provided by the University to make students comfortable while pursuing their studies have satisfied the ratings acceptable by the NUC.
He said the Panel would also be interested in interacting with personnel handling students accommodation, healthcare, sports activities, registration procedure, counselling and general learning environment among others.
Welcoming the Panel, Vice-Chancellor, Al-Qalam University, Prof. Shehu Garki Ado commended NUC for initiating the assessment visit describing it as first of its kind to the University since his assumption as Vice-Chancellor more than five years ago.
In his words ‘’ I want to assure you that we would fully co-operate to ensure that you sucessfully carrry out your assignment and I am sure that the outcome would help us to improve the welfare services of our students’’.
Before leaving the University on Tuesday , 9th July 2019, the Visitation Panel presented some of its findings to Management.
