*Al Qalam University staff wins 2020 American English E-teacher Alumni Exchange*
Al Qalam University staff, Malam Hamisu Haruna Hamisu of English Department has been chosen to participate in an exchange programme at the United States of America from March 14 to April 4, 2020.
Hamisu Hamisu put an excellent performance in the American English E-teacher Courses and emerged top among several E-Teacher high performing Alumni from five other countries participating in the professional development training.
The exchange programme trains Alumni on how to effectively deliver American English courses online and also become effective face-to-face trainers. The U.S department of state Bureau of education and cultural affairs office of English Language prograems is sponsoring the training and FHI is the implementing Partner.
On arrival in U.S.A on March 14th 2020, Hamisu Hamisu together with participants from other countries will attend a two week academic exchange at host university (TBD) before proceeding to Denver, Colorado on March 30th to participate in a week-long programme organized in conjunction with the 2020 TESOL international convention.
