*Two Accreditation Teams Submit Interim Report
The Vice- Chancellor, Al-Qalam University Katsina, Prof. Shehu Garki Ado has received interim reports from two accreditation teams which arrived at the university on Thursday, 7 th November, 2019.
The first team headed by Prof. Abubakar A. Kotos re- accredited BSc. Biology programme and the second team, headed by Prof. Umar B. Ahmad re-assessed B.A.Hausa.
Sharing some of their findings at separate meetings, on Thursday, 8th November, 2019, the leaders of the two teams appreciated the cooperation they received from both management and staff of the university, which facilitated completion of the assignments without problems.
Prof. Kotos reported that his team observed that library materials for BSc. Biology are adequate, so also lecture halls, staff offices and laboratory equipment.
In his report, Prof. Umar B. Ahmad also expressed satisfaction with the library materials for B.A. Hausa adding that admission requirements and academic regulations are equally adequate.
He also said that the Hausa Gallery provided by the university is outstanding.
In his remarks, the Vice-Chancellor, Al-Qalam University, Prof. Shehu G. Ado described the interim reports as encouraging to the university.
He reiterated the determination of the university's management to continue improving the standards of teaching and learning.
The next reaccreditation team for BSc. Physics will be received by management on Monday, 11th November, 2019.
