*NUC Begins Reaccreditation Of Nine Programmes*
The Vice-Chancellor, Al-Qalam University, Katsina, Prof. Shehu G. Ado has received the first accreditation panel sent by the National Universities Commission ( NUC) to re-accredit Islamic Studies (B.A. Ed.) Programme in the College of Education. The panel arrived Al-Qalam University on Monday, 28th October,
2019.
Prof. Rafiu Adebayo from university of Ilorin is leading the four man panel.
Speaking on behalf of the leader of the panel, at a pre- accreditation meeting with management of the university, Prof. Ahmad Moyi Gada sought the cooperation of the management to facilitate the job of the panel.
He said, '' We are here to re-accredit Islamic Studies Education Programme and it is our hope that all the lapses earlier identified during the first visit of the team have been addressed so as to have a smooth exercise.
In his remarks, Vice-Chacellor, Prof. Shehu G. Ado assured the panel of maximum cooperation pointing out that the exercise is in the best interest of the university to maintain quality education.
Five different accreditation panels are expected at the university from 28th October to 24th November, 2019 for reaccreditation of Islamic Studies (B.A. Ed.), Hausa(B.A.), Biology (BSc.), Physics (BSc.), Chemistry (BSc.), Biology (BSc.Ed.), Chemistry (BSc Ed.), Mathematics (BSc.Ed.) and Physics (BSc.Ed.).
