*NESA AUK VISITS CBN ON EXCURSION*
The Nigerian Economics Students Association, Al Qalam University Chapter led by Comrade Usman Mukhtar return back after a successful excursion to Central Bank of Nigeria Headquarters Abuja.
The delegation left on 9 October 2019 and returns on 11 October 2019 with a total number of 60 students from each level, Staffs including Examination Officer who is also the Patron of the Association, 2 Matrons, School Medical Doctor and the Security Officer embarked on the journey with 3 Sharons and School Bus.
They get to Kaduna where they spend a night there and moved to Abuja and arrived the CBN at exactly 9:30am. Other special guest include the overall National President of NESA Nigeria Comrade Ibrahim Bazeigi, NESA President ABU Zaria Comrade Ibrahim Tamim and NESA Nasarawa Chapter Comrade Aliyu Muhammad.
They were received by a member staff in the Events Management Office of the Corporate Communications Department of the Bank and the assigned tour guide. The staff instructed them not to take any photos, videos or recordings for security purpose.
In addition, They were given a paper presentation lecture on the History of Central Bank of Nigeria and how it operated with the complexity, process, procedures and challenges it faced with the economy. Then they were taken to the Central Bank museum were they were shown all the ancient artifacts on the evolution and history of trade in Nigeria and many more.
After the tour, NESA Al Qalam University Chapter were awarded with publications, books of the Central Bank and also monument casings of the previous currency notes of Nigeria.
In his remarks, the two time President of NESA AUK extends his thanks to *Almighty Allah SWT* for the safe excursion to Abuja and also to the Central Bank of Nigeria Management for hosting our prestigious university out of many with the opportunity to visit their great institution, the Excos that made this possible and also more than 60 students that got to be part of this journey.
The President added: “ Special thanks to the School Management, the Dean Students Affairs Dr. Muhammad Muslim and Patron Mal. Shan'una Lawal for standing firm, making sure the journey was possible and success despite all the challenges”.
