*Enhancing Varsity Campus Beauty*
Al-Qalam University has rolled out a tree planting programme to enhance the beauty of the University Campus. The elaborate programme has been planned to cover all parts of the University as the first phase of the exercise was launched on Thursday, 25th July, 2019.
The University Management procured five thousand nursery trees and flowers among them cashew, date, palm, mango, ficus lemon, ficus togo, yellow bush, green bush, gescrovat and red accalipa.
Shading more light on the tree planting exercise, the Environmental Health Officer, Malam Aminu Abba said the exercise took full advantage of the rainy season to assist the trees and flowers grow rapidly.
He said the last phase of the planting exercise would cover newly developed areas of the University Campus such as Lawal Kaita Auditorium, new lecture halls and the landscaped IJMB parking space.
